Adobe Artificial Intelligence – A detailed guide

Adobe is a household name when it comes to graphics and media. It needs no introduction. However, in order to keep up with the changing times, it has been constantly innovating. One of the recent developments in Adobe Artificial intelligence has been their Adobe Sensei. They are attempting to move beyond the confines of individual software offerings. Would this artificial intelligence help them integrate the fragmented world of their software? Would it help transform their suite into a more business-friendly one?

Adobe’s long-term AI strategy.

Two of the most popular products from Adobe are the Photoshop and Acrobat. In fact, much more popular than Acrobat is their document format PDF. They have invested and developed a lot of AI based features inside their products from a long time. There’s no surprise given that image processing is highly AI intensive. There would possibly hundreds of machine learning algorithms, neural networks and other AI tools used to create the effects inside an application like Photoshop.

However, with the changing times, AI is poised to do much more than number crunching behind the curtains. Adobe is attempting to use AI to create an assistant. One that interacts with the users and helps them navigate through the different software with ease.

Recent breakthroughs in Adobe artificial intelligence

Recently they have added a new AI-based feature in Adobe Photoshop. This feature lets the users change the Sky. It could be done manually in the previous versions of Photoshop. However, this new version changes everything. Firstly, the users can swap an entire Sky with the click of a few buttons. You don’t need to be an expert in Photoshop to do that anymore. Secondly, it also keeps Adobe as the forerunner of graphics applications. Recently there have been a lot of mobile platform applications that can do a lot of things that Photoshop can do without breaking a sweat. This has put some of the pressure on Adobe to innovate to make their products more user friendly. What we’re looking at in the future is an application interface that helps novice users do stuff that could be previously done only by experts.

It is not just Photoshop that is getting AI-based features. Adobe has introduced a lot of new API features in other applications like Premiere Pro and After Effects as well. In the above video, you can see that there’s a cyclist going on the right side of the track while there’s a car on the left side. Using a simple AI-based patch, the entire car can be removed from the frame. The tool utilizes the pixels from the empty area and tracks the car. It then superimposes the road in front of it to seamlessly create an empty road.

Additionally, they are also offering a series of different smaller user-friendly features. The Autoducking feature in Adobe audition is one of them. The software automatically analyzes the. Narration track and it ducks the music track wherever there is vocal present in the timeline. It would save hours of effort.

Adobe Sensei

Adobe Sensei is the Adobe Artificial intelligence application geared more towards business users. It is designed to help people create marketing content with ease. It’s considered that you want to create a campaign video for different social media platforms. It is evident that most of the social media platforms have cut their own suitable aspect ratios. A tall or portrait kind of video suits Facebook and Instagram. On the other hand, a vital video would suit a platform like YouTube. So how do you create different aspect ratio based videos from a single timeline? All of this can be done using Adobe’s new AI.

Secondly, the application of Adobe Sensei is there in the smart document creation. Gone are the days of plain-Jane PDF’s. Nowadays you can create high-quality documents that are dynamic. Their content and application can change based upon the users and context. You can also use AI to fill forms. You can use it to convert documents from one format to another. This feature was developed as the Project Smooth Operator

Thirdly, and most innovatively, Adobe attempts to integrate marketing with graphics design. They offer two products called Adobe Analytics and Adobe Campaign for the marketers. The analytics Attribution and tracking model keeps a track of what works and what does not work for a customer. This helps a firm in creating highly personalized marketing content. Although they are relatively new in this game, they are trying to catch up. Moreover, we may see a full-blown marketing and lead management suite from Adobe. Something that was the forte of a company like Pardot earlier.
