About us

About management weekly

We attempt to make high-quality managerial insights accessible to all. Therefore, we started this website with a belief in open, collaborative knowledge sharing. We reimagine information sharing in management through textual and visual media.

Management Weekly was created to share up to date management news, insights, and cases to inform the members through a freemium model. Consequently, we are committed to bringing insights from different practitioners and academicians in the easiest to grasp language.

It takes effort, money, and expertise to create content. Monetization is only way to sustain a publication. However, we believe that it should be for the greater good. A capitalistic mindset hinders the spread of knowledge. An underprivilaged person in Ethiopia who wants to run her startup should have equal opportunity to access information as another person sipping $10 coffee in downtown LA. Internet should be an enabler not a silo of knowledge.

Traditional publishing houses hoard knowledge and intellectual assets. They command premium subscriptions from readers. However, around half of the world population survives on less than $5.5 a day! Similarly, almost all the major academic journals are locked behind paywalls. Even the authors indirectly pay to access their own articles that they gave away for free. In a way the signal is very clear: the knowledge is locked behind doors, to be created and accessed by selected few.

Management Weekly aspires to be a source of high-quality articles on management from industry experts and academicians. An outlet to connect thought-leaders to anyone with a zeal to be a better manager. Meanwhile, we stand on the crossroads where future organizations are required to be leaner, greener, and ethical. Therefore, we present catalytic dissemination in this direction. We have very strong roots in sustainability and societal wellbeing. In other words, we believe organizations are the best tools for sustainable development of the world. We offer most of our content for free.

We start this journey with a zeal to serve you, guided by our vision of knowledge sharing. As a token of appreciation, please subscribe, tweet, like, and share our content with your communities.

Thank you,
The Management Weekly team
